The Center for Education of Foreign Citizens is one of the structural units of the Institute of Civil Aviation of the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University.
It is an educational institution within the civil education system, created with the aim of training specialists from among foreigners and stateless persons.
The Education Center is responsible for organizational and legal issues related to inviting foreigners to study, their entry, stay, and departure from Ukraine, keeping records of the contingent and monitoring the quality of education of foreign students, and preparing documents on the education obtained at the university.
The Education Center has the following departments:
– organizational and educational-methodological work (educational department)
– visa and migration support
– recognition of foreign educational documents in Ukraine
– preparatory department (pre-university training)
The main tasks of the Education Centre:
•issuing invitations for study, organizing the admission of foreign citizens to the University;
•monitoring the educational process of foreign citizens;
•ensuring compliance with Ukrainian legislation relating to foreign citizens, namely:
-visa, passport, migration issues and issues of registration of foreign citizens studying at the University,
-issues of recognition of foreign documents on previous education (within the competence and powers of the Center);
•disseminating information about the University. Strengthening the image and promoting it among foreign citizens in Ukraine and abroad in order to attract foreign citizens to study at the University;
•Establishing contacts on issues related to the education of foreign citizens at the University with diplomatic agencies and consular offices of foreign states in Ukraine, with embassies and consulates of Ukraine abroad, with law enforcement agencies, border, customs, and other services, security services, etc.
The University admits foreign students to accredited programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels, as well as to preparatory programs in Ukrainian and English:

• G12 Aviation and Rocket and Space Technology
• J6 Aviation transport (Aircraft Maintenance)

The admission of foreigners to study (Uk, En) is carried out using the Unified Interdepartmental Information System of Ukraine (Uk, En) for Foreigners and Stateless Persons Who Wish to Study at Institutions of Vocational (Vocational-Technical), Professional Pre-Higher, Higher Education of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the Unified System).
The validity period of an electronic invitation to study, issued by means of the Unified System, is no more than six months from the date of the qualified electronic seal of the Civil Aviation Institute of Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University or the qualified electronic signature of an authorized person of the Institute being affixed to it.
The basis for obtaining an entry visa for study purposes is an invitation to study issued by the Unified System.
To be admitted to study, foreign citizens and stateless persons submit and process (in case of remote admission, send to the Institute’s address) the following documents:
• application;
• a copy of the foreigner’s passport document or a document identifying a stateless person (3 copies of the original document and 3 copies of the translation into Ukrainian);
• an invitation to study;
• the original and a copy of the document (with an appendix) on the previously obtained educational (educational-qualification) level, on the basis of which admission is made (1 copy of the original document (with an appendix) and 1 copy of the translation into Ukrainian);
• a medical health certificate certified by an official health authority of the country from which the foreigner arrived and issued no later than two months before leaving for study in Ukraine (1 copy of the original document and 1 copy of the translation into Ukrainian);
• a valid medical insurance policy, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine;
• 20 matte photographs measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
• a copy of the certificate of a foreign Ukrainian (if available).
All documents issued in foreign countries must be translated into Ukrainian with a notarized translation in Ukraine.
The originals of the passport and the education document are checked upon submission of the documents. Medical documents are submitted in the original.
The education document and the medical document, if issued abroad, must be certified and legalized in the prescribed manner, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine.
